A beautiful setting but lacking soul. Even my friends 10 year old son noticed the dysfunctional atmosphere amongst the staff! -Simon
Home made cakes are good -David
Very pleasant little place in the middle of the common. Great view of the mill, too. They do main courses as well as teas - come for breakfast or lunch! -Liam
Can't decide between tea or coffee, worry not. They taste the same here -Marcus
Excellent coffee and cake. Just what you need after a run on the common. Contrary to other reviews they DO take cards - £10 minimum. -Steve
excellent full English -Frédéric
Coffee, banana bread. The time on Saturday mornings when the Nordic Walkers leave, and the Parkrunners come in. -Steve
Expect long queues and a long wait for food at peak times. Good cake selection, but generally food pretty average and overpriced. -Charlie
There is free wifi, and it is possible to work here, though I felt a little self-conscious. -Lucy
This cafe could be more special than it is...! It's got a lovely location and a captive audience, but it lacks soul. More caff than tea room. -Lucy
Chaotic service, offer wifi but don't take cards. What on earth they're thinking in 2015 by not taking cards staggers me. It's not like they don't cater for lunch crowds and so-on. Captive market eh? -John
A canteen rather than a cafe. Food is ok but nothing special. Oh, and they don't accept cards! -Vlad
Dog biscuits available :) -Sarahjane
30 minutes wait for a chicken pesto sandwich and no apology. They're 'busy'. Don't come here hungry .. -Elinesca
Lovely cafe - shame about the cake -Jules
This place doesn't take cards so stack up on cash before you come... -Elinesca
Lovely fruit home made cake -Izabela
Meet other parents here on Tuesdays at 1.30pm for an NCT walk. -Leah
Fantastic home made cakes and real chips. Little pricy though -Chris
Very decent plum crumble! Outdoor seating area is fine, but yes, the indoor area is tired. -Marcos
